About me
To me, photography does not only mean “taking a picture” or capturing a moment with an optical device. First of all, it means TO SEE the unusual within the usual, the beauty and wonder of creation in nature as well as the not dominated misery which is also part of the whole. In order to see this, you need love, understanding and an open eye. Like this, pictures can become little messages or they can incite the observer to consider his views even provoke joy through the recognition of things he saw before. Naturally, photography also means to have command of certain techniques and to have access to technical devices. But a good picture can be taken with simple means and on the other hand sophisticated devices do not guarantee a good picture

Photographieren bedeutet für mich nicht nur das Festhalten eines Momentes mit optischen Hilfsmitteln. Photographieren bedeutet für mich zunächst einmal: SEHEN: Das Ungewöhnliche im Gewöhnlichen, das Wunder der Schöpfung in der Natur und auch das unüberwundene Elend, das noch immer Teil des Ganzen ist. Um zu Sehen, bedarf es der Liebe, des Verständnisses und des offenen Auges. So können kleine Bilder zu Botschaften werden oder zumindest beim Betrachter Freude durchs Wieder erkennen auslösen. Photographieren bedeutet natürlich auch das Beherrschen gewisser Techniken und das Vorhandensein entsprechender technischer Hilfsmittel. Ein gutes Bild kann aber auch mit einfachen Mitteln entstehen und umgekehrt garantieren aufwendige Mittel noch kein gutes Bild.
