I am very sorry for this horrible name, but I cannot change it.
I get a message something like "you will receive a mail to confirm the changes..."
Anyway, I am uploading some work of mine in Cuba.
Hope you have a glance at my work...and I will change this number (I hope)
Still trying to learn navigating the site.

name changes need to be acknowledged by the admin people so that's why you get the mail. Just give it a few days, it will change.
@Yasemin: Jean probably typed his name in a greek keyboard setting in a characterset utf-8. Fotocommunity can't handle that characterset and uses the more limited iso-8859-1. Anything that doesn't fit within iso-8859-1 is shown as a bunch of numbers instead. That's why such an odd name appears. Jean can't help that.

I'm afraid that I left it blank and the number was automatically created.
Anyway...
my best to you too...

The Admin is very understanding about name changes. They just have to limit them to cut down on abuse. You are allowed 3 changes within an account. I'd suggest getting it changed or you'll end up being called "9" most of the time.
Welcome to FC.
.......and Robert your a complete hardware/software geek for knowing that about the keyboards. ; )
