I met this 82 old man at a lakeside park in Hanoi. He spoke french very well, yet in an old-fashioned manner. He told us about his children and grandchildren. And that he was a soldier and a Dien Bien Phu veteran. Dien Bien Phu was the key battle against the french colonial army in 1954. When I had finished taking pictures, he unwrapped a small camera from a sheet of paper and took a picture of me.
