The Living Forest (225) : Still alive…
After a whole week of snowfall, a bloody cold northeast wind and severe frost (-12°C at night), all goat willow catkins seem to be alive and kicking in the forest.
It looks like the harbingers of spring survived the unexpected late winter attack.
The shot was made during one of those many blizzards that we had.

German name : Sal-Weide
Latin name : Salix caprea

Eine ganz wundervolle Arbeit - diese so flauschig wirkenden Kätzchen im Schneegestöber!
Die Kätzchen sind schon sehr weit geöffnet und sie leuchten ganz wunderbar in diesem Licht!
