Hi Anna,
these beautiful birds are truly eye-catchers. Although I have spent already a considerably amount of time in Canada, I haven't managed to get a decent picture of them - yet.
Regards
Andreas.
: ))))) i'm smiling because it looks, as though he's resolutely folded up his wings behind his back! and you captured a priceless, almost human expression on his square little face: with his crest down he's obviously trying to be as inconspicuous as possible, while his eye is both watchful and dreamily pensive at the same time: in fact, i think he might be weighing out the pros and cons of the situation! cons: 1. worrisome presence of a bunch of humans 2. don't want to be shot, while eating. crumbs on the plumage – not favorable, no siree! pros: 1. food 2. bonding – you never know when those humans might come in handy… 3. food 4. fame (title page of national geographic, if i hold still for the shot!)! 5. food… it's a deal: i'll stay, eat your food and let you take my picture in return! ; ))) this is such a lovely portrait of your blue jay friend, anna! the gentleness and cool calm in his face, the beautiful details in his feathers… great!! greetings, sabine.
