Life Imitates Art

Or is it Art imitates Life???

Rodin the Thinker, Cleveland Museum of Art

Image was shot through two thick sheets of glass that act as a wall so I lost some detail.

    Hallo Ken,
Motiv und Bildschnitt sind sehr gut.
Durch die vorhandenen Grauwerte der monochromen Aufnahme wirkt das Bild nicht plastisch genug.
    Es fehlen Brillianz und Licht.
    Liebe Grüße
    Karl-Heinz

: )))) yes, he's (unconsciously?) mirroring the pose of "the thinker". or maybe the thinker is secretely imitating him, copying his very behavior in the manner that small children are so very fond of: "dad has an itch behind the ear? i imitate it! dad says 'stop it, son!'. i say 'stop it son!'" etc. so the life/art theme is definitely there in your shot! but there's also another "theme" in it: had i seen only the gentleman's feet in their homey slippers, i would NEVER have suspected him to be the type of guy that voluntarily abandons his lazy boy for a visit to the museum! ; )) but hey, i've learned my lesson: never judge a man by his appearance!! greetings, sabine.
