This bird with his sleek and smooth looking plumage lives in flocks around Vancouver all year 'round, but in 40 years of living here this is the first one I ever spotted in the woods around Burnaby Lake

Thank you for all your recent visits and generous comments!!!
oh, how lucky you were, adele! it must have been such a great feeling to finally see and capture him!! and what a beautiful and "grave" looking fellow he is! love his pastel colored plumage – it puts me in an eatster-egg mood – and his period hairflip ; ))! hugs, sabine.
Excellent capture of this Cedar Waxwing !
Beautiful natural colours, great sharpness and the twig makes a great diagonal line in the compo !
Good work !!!
