a large group of Greater Yellowlegs (I think), three ducks, two Lesser Sandhill Cranes, people .... and a large flock of Snowgeese looking black in this light and being far away.
.... my visit to the Fraser River estuary two weeks ago ....
this one's great, adele!! it has a certain surreal and apocalyptic feel to it: the pink sky "moving in" from the right, birds "chain-flying" through the sky, birds in the water looking like a settlement of giant mussels, and, finally, those silhouetted bird watchers on the horizon one discovers only at second sight – so much suspense and expectation in the air! something strange is about to happen… hugs, sabine.
Dear Adele, you've captured a great autumn mood, and without the migratory birds we don't know that the winter is coming, because here by us the weather is very spring-like!
Regards, Vera
On closer look it turns out there aren't as many birds in the water as it seems to be as half of them is only their reflections:) Birds getting ready fo the winter - a time of ordeal for them. Good pic. Bw, Viola
It looks like there is an optical illusion going on in the front with the birds, it is their shadows but it looks like there are loads of them!! I like it, it is a popular place for animals and humans too!
Hugs
Sally
