To get the rays of the sun, you have to close the aperture to maximum, in my case 22. The necessary exposure time I measured in automatic mode with the camera facing near the sun area in the sky. Because the exposure will be underexposed, it is necessary to correct it using the dynamic range of the RAW-File.
Additional there are three different layers of gradiation curves and one layer of color correction.
Hallo Vera
You wanna speak english, Vera, why not.
Thanks a bundle for the description of how you proceeded to make this photo. I'll try that out with the closed aperture and especially the RAW-format. Normally I use jpg for handling and file size purposes but if RAW format offers so much more possibilities, why not, hard discs are cheap nowadays. What kind of software do you use to to treat the RAW-files? Color correction, ok, but what makes the difference between using _three_ different layers of gradation curves or only one of them?
Hugs
Christian.
@Christian,
well, our native language is German, but here in FC.COM whe should use English because the other users reading the comments are all over the world.
The RAW gives you the possibility to correct the exposure time +- 2 steps.
I used different gradiation layers for the sky, the water and the foreground.
Developing the RAW is made by PS.
Hi Vera, what a wonderful picture of a very beautiful landscape. I love your crop with the sun just under the branches and despite the backlight a good exposure
