Absolutely a wonderful picture. A picture with a story. I can imagine many things that could be going through the mind of that little girl. It is almost as if she's thinking those big eyes can see her and is following her even if she goes behind the cornerGreat shot Andrea! Goes to my favourites

what a great place and what a great shot of it! the three-dimensionality is amazing! it makes me look over the girl's shoulder and identify with her – to join or not to join the fun and moisture, that's the question! to let the water sprinkle one's hand, while deep down inside the labyrinth the fun is in full swing, with her fellow children yelling and splashing and whooping under the sad eyes of the mighty god of play! watching and being watched… ; )) greetings, sabine. p.s.: i just read up on crown fountain! never would have suspected it to be down town, and right next to my favorite diamond building! ; ))Leonid Khodyrev, 27.08.2011 at 17:56h

This is a fine photo Andrea. There is so much depth in the photo created by the angles of the buildings within the frame, the water, and the light. The young girl in the foreground is perfectly placed within the frame.Jim

This Chicago fountain is a treasure for photographers, offering interesting shots of uninhibited people - mostly children - at play and enjoying the refreshment...Your series is the proof for this, and here watching is at least the activity of three children: the face on the fountain wall, looking over all the fun below, the boy half way towards the spectator and the girl, intently observing the other children, yet to decide wether to join them or to stay away....
