I know this is not a great shot of a kingfisher, but i have been trying to photograph this bird for more than a year and it was a thrill for me to get this shot as it is such an elusive bird.

Well at least you succeeded to capture a Kingfisher.
I never did.
I know very well how it feels the moment you see him right in front of your lens as the adrenaline is going and going.
Good work and keep on shooting, one day you will capture him the perfect way.

you tried more than one year to shoot this "ijsvogeltje"
there is one for some years in my back yard ( I live near a brook "geleenbeek")
and I have never succeded in shooting him this way.
