Yesterday, I went once again to the eruption site at Fimmvörðuháls near Eyjafjallajökull. A new crater has opened, and it's even more powerful than yhe previous one...

The weather and conditions were perfect, and it was without a doubt one of the best nights of my life...

Nikon D300 + Nikkor 18-200
Exposed for 2 seconds, at F/18 & ISO 100.
