This is another image taken at Point Fermin in San Pedro, California around 9:30 in the morning.

Shot with a Canon 1DS Mark II at f29.0, 2.0 seconds, ISO 200, 100mm lens.

The different layers and grades of grey work very well.
I miss something ( like a lonely early morning stroller or something ) to further emphesize the lonliness and tranquility.

a touch top heavy, but i love the corporeality of the overhead limbs all the same. just read that you originally posted in nudes by accident. almost seems fitting given the quality of the arms and legs overlaying the rest of the park in the fog before they fade and all the people come out for their sunny day lunch break. great image!

You solved the usual composition dilemma here with the branches. Probably the best spot. Like an upper frame. Good tonal range, too. The composition helps us see in three dimension, the fog adds the fourth one to this picture... Good one!
