Where is it - I can't find it

The one and only swan at Lost Lagoon in Stanley Park - huge and close!

: )))) quite a "groomer", too ; ))! here in hamburg the "alsterschwäne" are much loved, protected since the 17th century (i just looked that up and was amazed by the fact!). in 1818 the city even decided to employ a so-called "schwanenvater/father of the swans", who until now (not the same one, of course ; )) is responsible for their well-being. collects them every winter, puts them in boats and takes them to a small pond in eppendorf that won't freeze over… the "collection of the swans" in november is always a major event, with lots of people gathering at the alster to watch it. and it's actually pretty cute to watch, too, for the older swans are familiar with the procedure: they sit in the boats – perfectly relaxed –, as though looking forward to being carted off to their "winterquartier", where the food is excellent and they're well taken care off. hope to be able to watch the event this year (probably sometime next week), and maybe take some pictures… greetings, sabine.

Wunderschön gemacht Dein Foto des putzenden Schwans. Was mich nur wundert, ist, das da nur ein Schwan lebt.
