1993 was the last year for mainline steam in Zimbabwe. Luckily, I was there just a few Month before the dismissal of the famous 'Garratts' articulated steam engines from line service. This is 15A 402 with a coal train from Hwange to Bulawayo filling water at Highfields. Thanks to the friendly NRZ-Headquarter at Bulawayo, I was permitted to ride the footplate of the engine, allowing me to shot the train at water and service stops only...
