s. sabine krause, 8.05.2011 at 10:10h

i like it, too! it has this charming "air of innocence and naiveté" to it: must be the two darling buttercups that have me think of toto and dorothy still "in kansas", of course! and looking down the road, the moment before the fatal tornado hits! ; )) greetings, sabine.

Nice and well composed experiment and excellent played with the dof !
My favourite of the 2.

Such a delicate and graceful a
idea! Love the little road that climbs up toward the " poofy" tree. The idea of havin the buttercups in foreground is excellent, especially because they are facing the little trail, looking at the tree as if they were the real spectators of the scene. We get to perceive their point of view and catch sight of their own view.

Great! My sentiments reflect Andy Mura's. I like that the buttercups are shown from behind, as though they are looking down the road in the background. I like it a lot! :)

El Porte-Bonheur, 31.07.2011 at 11:50h

With regards to what is selected for the gallery I'm very surprised that this one is not... This photo has a lot of charm and intensity, there is a good balance between the foreground and the background and the diagonal line represents a stable growth. By using a shallow dof ( generated in pp or not is not the point) you add an element that gives the background context and interest.
All in all a 'meaningful composition' which definitely speaks to the senses.
Compliments!
