Die Dampflok entstand 1921 bei der Hanomag in Hannover-Linden unter der Fabriknummer 9697. Abgeliefert wurde sie an die Firma Felten & Guilleaume in Köln. Hier erhielt sie die Bezeichnung "Carlswerk 4". Nach ihrer Abstellung erfolgte 1973 ihre Aufstellung auf dem Spielplatz Buschweg in Köln-Bocklemünd. 2004 konnte das Rheinische Industriebahn Museum (RIM) die Lok in seine Sammlung übernehmen.

Die Aufnahme entstand am 07.10.2007 im RIM in Köln-Nippes.
