NY - Türme/Towers: Empire State after a photo of R. Burns

Für meine Eltern habe ich Türme gemalt, und mich dabei von Fotos aus der fc und von flickr inspirieren lassen. Hier ein Beispiel: Das Empire State, frei nach einem Foto von R. Burns.

For my parents I have been painting towers, and have let me inspire by photos from the fc and from flickr. Here an example: The Empire State, free after a photo from R. Burns.

In my "Towers" series, this one was painted for Mom.
She chose the mythical Empire State, as she liked the light and colours of this tower, and so I painted it for her.
Dad asked for something more classical, chosing a church in Cyprus.

In meiner Serie "Türme" malte ich diesen für Mama.
Sie sucht sich das mythische Empire State aus, da ihr Licht und Farben gut gefieln und so malte ich es.
Papa wollte etwas klassisches und wählte eine Kirche in Zypern.

They share a theme, the re-occurrence of a similar question. What is it that we see? Here it is a painting of a photo of a building. Maybe the from does not matter? Maybe it is more interesting to 'look' at the process of metamorphoses: from the real to a photographic capture to a painted interpretation. I just love it, the endless translation of one into another and could ramble on and on: 'Es türmt sich' in my little brain – but I have to run now. Promise to be back laters.

Una qué imagen impresionante Susana, usted han capturado el humor y la escala del cuadro maravillosamente. Amo los colores it' s tiene gusto de mirar en un sueño, it' s verdadero pero al mismo tiempo it' s no verdadero. It' paz hermosa del S.A. del arte capturada y presentada muy bien. Recuerdos. Anthony
