Hi! I love this photo-what a simple idea and yet so very clever. It works really well. Well done on such accurate focusing on the yellow pencil. I really like it.
I used 105mm Nikon macro lens, diffuser, reflector and Elmers foam board. When I took this shoot I needed to constantly check my dof preview then change my aperture if needed or move forward/backward.
Wow'...Gradation from RED to GREEN!...coool... ; )
Very welldone DOF... yes!
hmmm...probably,i should used SINAR to get 'that'... : )
but'...i don't know about you! if it wasn't being edit...
would you tell me how?...pliiiiz... ; )
regards

Very nice. The colors and composition are pleasing, and I really like the precision with the depth of field. Did you use editing software to help with the DOF, or was that all done with the lens?
