Victoria is the capital of Espirito Santo state, and one of three islands-capital of Brazil (the others are Florianópolis and São Luís). It is located in Region Sudeste.Vitória has two major ports, the Victoria Harbour and Shark. These ports are part of Brazil's largest port complex, which includes several ports in the state, and are considered the best (quality) of Brazil.
The city administers the island of Trindade and Martim Vaz Island, 1100 km from the coast, which are important bases weather because of its strategic position in the area of dispersion of air masses.
