Falkirk Wheel
The Falkirk Wheel was a Millennium Project designed to restore navigational links across Central Scotland 's two Canals, the Forth and Clyde Canal in the West and Union Canal in the East, this replaces the 11 Locks which were dismantled in 1933. The Boats enter a Boat Lift Gondola from one Canal and are lifted 35 Metres to continue their journey on the other Canal.
