About me

I'm 19 years old from Brazil and I'm in love with photograph since 2005 when my father bought a Sony Cyber Shot DSCH1, it's not so good i know, it's not much, but i like it and I can't have a better one.
I'm here to learn something about photograph, i don't know anything about it.
Photograph is my new hobby, i have another ones like dancing (ballet - jazz - russian folk dance) , reading and watching movies.
I am at university, studying advertsement (first year) and i will have photography classes this first semester of 2007 at uni and i am pretty excited with it, i hope it will be good.

My camera (it's from my father, but i grab it sometimes) : Sony Cyber Shot DSC-H5 ( the fist thing i will buy when i get a job is a better one, but for now it's fine ;) )

Nice to meet you all!! I just speak portuguese, spanish and english, but i will try do translate anyother language as i can.

I need and i appreciate some tips and comments, that's a pity i can't pay a full membership. Maybe someday on a far away future.
For now you can see more of my pictures at Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/22343793@N00/

    Hi Monica,

First of all, welcome in this very active community.
If you have a DSC-H5, you can be pleased for a while, but on some of your photos I saw that you've mentioned DSC-H1. As a first step to better pictures I can recommend you to turn off the automatic date imprint. You can see the date in the properties - EXIF.
If you want some professional advices you can find a lot over the internet, but the most important is to take a lot of pictures, to experiment different subjects, different light and different angles. Follow your heart and your mind and you'll be more than happy. Feel free to ask if you have a specific question. You can use my e-mail address as well.
Good luck and best wishes from Romania.
    A Happy New Year!

Welcome, it is a great place either you are a beginer or a professional. If you love to learn about photography, you should take that "Photo lessons" of your school seriously. There isn't a better way to learn something than school, and it is hard (not impossible) to try something without proper guidance. Here you will find friendly people that would love to help you if they can. Don't be afraid and ask. But most of all...shoot and show.
