Started taking photographs while studying Design at the Glasgow School of Art in the '70's. Stopped for a long time but the digital revolution encouraged me to start again last year. I was using a Canon 300D, but have just upgraded to a 20D. I have also bought a Canon 100-400 zoom. Photographs are mainly landscape, motorsport, architecture and portraiture.
I am involved in education and would point anyone who wants to learn about looking at our world, and photography in particular, to the FC.
Check in to fotocommunity every day, there are some very talented people out there.

--Glass Ceiling.

Yes its an interesting shot, bears a striking composition layout to 'The Kibble Palace' shot you took, haha, not trying to steal your ideas :p . I took in in Edinburgh, randomly went with Annie, was pissing down so we took to the indoors and found it, in a wee market area.

Jo

*Hope your holidays are going well ! *

Thanks for your nice comment when I started publishing pictures on FC. Had a look into your portfolio. Nice work. Like in particular the portraits and the collages.

Kind regards,

Piet.

Hi there, Stuart!
I am so pleased that you like TheCoolingOff...was a very hot day that day. All the local folk went down to the Pacific to watch the boats, wiggle their toes in the surf, fish, stroll the pier and take in the breeze. The afternoon light was gorgeous.
Thank you again, and if you excuse me, I'm gonna go wander around in the hallways of your profile pics...
Best wishes,
Robyn
