About me

I've been interested in photography since I was a teenager. I finally got an SLR when I was 17. From then on I read books and magazines and shot miles and miles of film until, in 1993 I was made redundant when my place of work closed down. I answered an advert for a job as a sports photographer and spent the next year travelling around Britain shooting horse racing. In 1994 I set up Real Time Imaging with Ed Terrington. We travelled around the country photographing all kinds of equine sports and processing the films on site in a large van and selling prints to the competitors. I still run Real Time Imaging, now with my wife Barbara, and we have speciallised in the very demanding world of horse showing and we provide the photography (press as well as commercial) at most of the major shows in the UK including The Horse Of The Year Show. I don't get much time to shoot "non-profit making" pictures but when I do I enjoy exploring the photographic possibilities of the mundane. I like to look at things from an unusual angle.

I'd like to thank those of you who have taken the time to look at my profile and particularly those who have been kind enough to leave messages and make me feel welcome. I will be very busy from April to October but I will see as many of the great pictures posted on this site as often as I can.
