About me

I take photos of my abstract paintings. I mirror the images and flip horizonatal and vetical, thus extrapolating a quadrant-image from the original. Unusually, faces and such appear at the "seams" of the paintings. As you will see as I upload more.

The wood carvings are photographed and flooded with light.

Everything is a trade-off. Digital images are filled with light , yet they sacrifice textural contours. While paintings are essentially made of mud (pigments), they convey a sense of place with their textural contours.

Art and artifice are in constant tension.
