when they found gold in dawson
( a little while ago, at the turn of the twentieth century ;)
steamships were built in whitehorse for transportation there and back
but since a proper road was built in the 1950s all, but three, have disappeared -
now only brave people like you make the jouney by canoe.
in fact, there is an annual race paddling from whitehorse to dawson
and rest assured
nobody paddles back ... ;-))
