Nice to have met you here. Thank you for your various kind comments to my photographs. Seems you know some of our location choices.
While it is true what you say, that we may regret not having begun some interests sooner, it is better late than never.
All the best,
Thank you very much for proposing this image in the Gallery, Dave, are honored!
This proposal was a surprise, did not expect, I posted it as a nice thought for all colleges to FC:)
I apologize for the delay, I have gone so far
I wish you good light and images as you wish:)
best thoughts, Doina
You are welcome the drawings and photos are beautiful I hope that you can capture many more. May you have a great Xmas and New Year. It's snowing here in Philadelphia now hope I can find some thing of interest my self today.
Hi and thanks for viewing my drawings and photography.
Well my name is Dave Butcher and I am afraid I have been a late developer when it comes to art.
I grew up in Middlesbrough where I had many happy days cycling up into the North York Moors. However I totaly ignored any artistic talent I may have had whilst at school. I eventually persued a career as a Offshore Diver working mostly in the Mid East and STILL ignored any artistic skill which would occasionally poke through with the occasional sketch I would do to while away the time.
Then after a accident which put paid to my career I had time now to devote to my art and was very fortunate that one piece I did was short listed for 'The David Shepherd Wildlife Artist Of The Year Award 2008'
I started in pen and ink mode and about a year ago I began to use graphite pencils. I then invested in a decent camera to capture subjects for my drawings and this lead me in another direction of photography.
Well apart from drawing and photography I used to fly microlites (had some lessons in Alaska (oh the drawing and photo opportunities there! why was I not into art then) Also enjoy playing the guitar especially slide guitar and recently took up the 5 string banjo.
You know there is so much to do in life.
Well I now work in the Highlands of Scotland although I technically live in Brighton.
Hope you enjoy the pics.
All Best DAVE B
