I'm a late bloomer - I didn't get interested in photography until a few years after I moved from Florida to Germany – around 2000. And then it was because I was living in the country for the first time in my life and had a lot of time on my hands. I started – and completed – the New York Institute of Photography course to expand my limited knowledge of the workings of cameras and photography in general.
I like to experiment with lighting and flowers, trying to bring a different perspective to what some people term a “boring” genre. Hence, the tighter croppings – not always getting the full flower in the photo – and various positions.
Presently, I do exhibitions of my work in various themes, and am beginning work on a special exhibition to be held in Bad Ems next year. I have also photographed special event parties for small and medium firms and have been honored to photograph several weddings. Sometimes, on weekends, I can be found photographing sports events – baseball, American football and rugby, among others.
My equipment is too numerous to fully list, but here are my major workhorses:
Fuji F2 Pro digital SLR
2-Nikon SB-28 speedlights
Wishing you good light,
