About me

________________________________________________________

I have been photographing for many years, at first in the old-fashioned way with film and chemicals, nowadays digitally.
From the beginning of 2006 i have been working as a freelance photographer, lately also regularly for one of the larger Dutch Newsagencies Novum/Reuters. Nowadays parttime while i also work for a company selling and advising photographic equipment.
Over the years i have slowly changed my main intrest to street- and travelphotography, a kind of photography in which i also conduct workshops on a regular basis and also the reason why i decided to make a mayor equipment change and start to use compact system camera's. I now use the Fujifilm X-Pro1 and X-Pro2 bodies with several different lenses. I am one of 10 official Dutch Fujifilm X-Photographers.

Some time ago i found that i needed some time off from FC, on moments things were getting under my skin, so i thought it better to take some time off.

In the meantime however i decided to re-join the FC team, so i'm back !!

During my absence i have been pursuing other challenges, such as picking up an old love the road racing bike, i got committed into a project called Alpe d'Huzes, an event where some 5000 bikers ride the Alpe d'Huez in France, climbing to 1900 meters to get funding for the fight against Cancer. With the team from CameraNU.nl 6 riders took the challenge and after starting training again in april 2017, we made the climb ( some of us 6 times ) and got more then € 17.500 together !!

I do most of my processing in Lightroom & Photoshop CC

For my B+W photography i use NIK filters ( Silver Efex Pro ) ( Color Efex ) and Snapseed for Win.

Thank you for dropping by and commenting on my photo - Dance of the Gods. I just did not think about going lower down at the time - it may have given me a better perspective. Now that I think about it, perhaps there may have been more distortions with the buildings if I went lower down?
