About me
My camera is an extension of my mind and imagination, it captures moments that I can look back on and reflect. In my opinion photos should invoke a mood or feeling. It can be positive or negative, reflective or thought provoking. If you love what you do it shines through, no matter what your job is.
I am influenced by my surroundings. I love anything unique or capturing something in a way that is not expected. I don’t believe I follow the style of any particular photographer but I am inspired by known and unknown photographers as well as artist.
My personal style is…eclectic. I love candid shots, abstract,portraits,street, landscapes and everything in between. I can not narrow it down to one specific style or type of photography that I love. I love everything; it just depends on what strikes me at the moment.
I love the imagery of László Moholy-Nagy and Karl Blossfeldt. The abstract photography is my top favorites styles.
I am self-taught and I aspire to more formal training, specifically in portraiture,and abstract. If I take 10 photographs and only one meets my expectations, the other 9 are a learning experience.
I enjoy entering contest or discovering new photography blogs. Social media has become an encyclopedia of knowledge. I visit galleries in person and e-galleries. I look for different interpretations of photography and art in in any expression everywhere.
