Ian Thompson

I was interested in photography as a youth; but as most kids growing up I was told that I need to focus on a more "professional" career, as if photography isn't a professional career (as you may detect I'm still a little bitter). I still had the passion but no formal training and it wasn't until three years ago I enrolled in a photography course. My instructor still tries to encourage me to go out a shoot and I do when I have spare time. I’m currently searching for a web community that will not only encourage me to go out and shoot but also critique and give me pointers on techniques, lighting, posing, etc.

I love fashion, glamour, and fine art. I currently use a Hasselblad 501CM with an 80mm lens. I’m considering digital and would like to hear some opinions.
