Aishling Muller 05/12/2005 22:20HI guys, dont know if im doing this right wanted to start a new topic, anyway here it goes hope it works.
like Nicola i am also doing a college project but mine concern issues of truth and ethics within documentary photography, i have already found the ongoing discussion very informative and found that it cofirms what i thought already.
specifically i will be looking at the nature of documentery photography and its root within photographic history, and its main uses, the one ive come up with so far is that it nearly always seems to highlight some social concerns.
i will also be researching the hybrid nature of photography in relation to the age of manipulation and be examing this in relation to ethical concerns and issues of thruth that seem to be cropping up
photography as a form of language will also be an important chapter within the dissertation.
i would be very grateful for any of your thoughts on any of the mentioned topics, if not even just for an interesting discussion I would not otherwise have had acess to.
