marcher à travers le quartier d’Asie du Sud à Singapour, nous sommes tombés sur la fois par an Firewalking festival. Nous avons suivi les habitants pieds nus dans le temple ... ici une image des jeunes hommes se doucher et se préparer à leur promenade.
Firewalking est l’acte de marcher pieds nus sur un lit de braises chaudes ou de pierres. Il a été pratiqué par de nombreuses personnes et cultures dans toutes les parties du monde, avec la première référence connue datant de l’âge du fer en Inde vers 1200 av. J.-C. Il est souvent utilisé comme un rite de passage, comme un test de la force et le courage d’un individu, ou dans la religion comme un test de sa foi.

walking through the South Asian district in Singapore we came upon the once a year Firewalking festival. We followed the locals barefoot into the temple ... here an image of the young men showering and preparing for their walk.
Firewalking is the act of walking barefoot over a bed of hot embers or stones. It has been practiced by many people and cultures in all parts of the world, with the earliest known reference dating back to Iron Age India c.1200 BC. It is often used as a rite of passage, as a test of an individual's strength and courage, or in religion as a test of one's faith.
