Thank you for all the comments on last nights upload, the compressed version has imo spoilt the picture ;-( no idea why. Anyway another view of the iconic place. Had to guess if it has more midges or photographers around it at night ?

    To guess, we havecto know, in which season you took this beautiful picture. :-) Like Alexander said, it's a great conversion into b/w with excellent grey tones and a stunning light. EDC as its best.

    The kind of monochrome that always impresses me,Brian.
    Excellent contrast that gives ample detail to highlights and just as much as necessary to shadows even as dark as the bulk of the trees in the left.Very nice the mirror reflection of the castle and the menacant sky suits a lot to the whole cadre. If it had been an analogue I would have talked of an excellent use of a R filter...

    Gorgeous, this has so much atmosphere with the impending threat of rain and the contrasts of the sunny areas verses the dark, rainy skies.
