Les couleurs sont chaleureuses et le travail de marqueterie très soigné . Je n'oserais pas marcher sur ce travail d'artiste . Bises

The skill of the tradesmen who cut and laid the wood in this very beautiful floor could not be repeated to day I fear.
    best wishes,
    Lawson

yes, isn't this work absolutely stunning and your light effects are beautiful catching the glow. There is a palace outside St Petersburg, I am sure you will have been there too where all the floors are like this, they certainly got the best craftsmen to do the building, if I remember correctly, mainly Italians. cathy

when i spotted the preview, my first thought was that it looked like a round cake! ; ) the ornaments and the different colors/kinds of wood worked into each other – so lovely. and i agree with angelika on the beauty of the warm ambience radiating from the wood! beautifully captured once again, adele! love the slightly surreal atmosphere caused by the ghostly feet moving carefully across the rondel, as though it were some kind of turning carousel! ; ) hugs, sabine. p.s.: i'm amazed that apparently people didn't even have to wear the characteristic tapochki (shoe covers), while walking across the beautiful wood!
