Very well composed scene with the great rocks leading our eye to that lighthouse where it shines its light to warn any vessels of the dangers that are here.

Cefalonia... nel 1943 fu teatro di una grande tragedia avvenuta a seguito dell'occupazione italiana dell'isola durante l'ultima guerra, fatti meravigliosamente descritti da Louis de Bernieres nel romanzo Captain Corelli's Mandolin.
Oltre al dramma citato, ormai agli annali di Storia, è anche ben raccontata la stima e l'amicizia che legavano la popolazione locale all'invasore italiano il quale, al posto di far la guerra, preferiva di gran lunga fare l'amore e non venne mai da loro considerato un vero nemico, ma sempre aiutato in ogni circostanza.
Bello il profilo candido del faro di vedetta sulla punta estrema a far d'avviso ai naviganti.
