Lindisfarne is a tidal island off the north-east coast of England. It is also known as Holy Island and constitutes a civil parish in Northumberland. Both the Parker Chronicle and Peterborough Chronicle annals of AD793 record the Old English name, Lindisfarena,[1] which means "[island of the] travellers from Lindsey",[2] indicating that the island was settled from the Kingdom of Lindsey, or possibly that its inhabitants travelled there.[3] In 2001 the island had a population of 162.[4]

Hi Norman,I hope it is ok for you to give you my thoughts about your pic. The longer I look at it, the more I get the impression of two fotos instead of one. The lower part of it (sea, boats, small strip of the coast) is already a great, colorful picture on its own. It doesn´t need the castle...
On the other hand the castle placed on top of the hill and the sky with some dramatic clouds are an interesting foto motif as well. So I have the feeling the "two pics" are cannibalizing each other.
I also have the impression that the upper part shows warm light whereas the lower part is "pretty cold" - its seems the pic has two different color temperatures. Thank you for showing us your very interesting picture.
