The Whistler Train Wreck
In 1956 a freighttrain going too fast came off the tracks just south of Whistler - they managed to salvaged 9 wagons, but 7 had be left here in the woods and have become a tourist attraction with their colourful graffiti paintings inside and outside the wreck, I had a ball taking pictures and will show you just a few ... these are wagons 1 and 2 of the 7... and by the way: it is quite a long walk into the woods and across a river to get to the site.

powerful with colours !Matthias Getto 11/09/2024 14:35
An interesting and colorful motif that you show us.I am not judging the painting skills of many of these artists here. But the fact that they have no respect for nature and have to smudge the trees is not exactly a sign of intelligence.
But that's not your fault.
Best regards
Matthias

Wow! What a special wrack you captured with your camera! I suppose the graffiti developed after the train has become a wrack. ;-) Very colorful between all the trees in the forest.Warm greetings, Sabine
