The Skeleton Coast (Abstract)

I have been inspired by the art of a famous Namibian artist, and recently I tried a few new techniques while I processed my images in Photoshop, to try and capture his technique. I loved the way that this image turned out and the colours are so distinctive of this area of the coastline. I would like to create more of this kind of work, but before I do I would really appreciate some feedback from this community to see if there is really something special in this kind of digital artwork?

das ist ein wunderbar malerisches Bild! Solche Arbeiten würde ich gerne mit Pinsel und Farbe hinbekommen.

@Michael Vielen Dank, for your comments, and I am planning to produce this on a larger format print, when it will really make an impact. Interestingly I think it could also work as a small miniature if I created more contrast and added more light. I've never tried to be totally abstract before so this is an interesting new way of looking at my images, to see what more I can create from them. Die Aufnahme ist vermutlich aus dem Flugzeug gemacht, was nicht immer so einfach ist. Für mich eine Aufnahme, die vermutlich erst im Großformat ihre wahre Wirkung zeigt. Damit meine ich Formate ab 2x1 Meter. Die Farbnuancen sind phantastisch, koresspondieren wunderbar mit dem Blau des Meeres. Die Farben weiter hinten werden - wie schon gesagt - vermutlich erst im Großformat richtig zur Geltung kommen. Im Hintergrund bleibt es offen, ob dort Unschärfe herrscht oder die Farbübergänge so fein abgestuft sind, das es unscharf wirkt. Der Gesamteindruck erinnert mich ein wenig an die "Maltechnik" (riesige Spachtel auf großen Leinwänden) von Horst Richter, dem Maler aus Köln. Insbesondere seine frühen Bilder können auch so aussehen wie dei tolles Foto. Herzliche Grüße Michael
