Here in New Jersey you will see many Barns painted in this dark red color.
With the colorful Autumn foliage it creates an idyllic scene.

Sehr gut hast Du das Foto beschrieben, gemblue, das "Rot", ähnlich wie in Schweden, passt sich natürlich in den Farbreigen der jetzigen Jahreszeit an. Sogar der Trekker hat seine Farbe angepasst, smile. Kräftige Bäume hat es da vor der Scheune, sie verdecken fast alles, was dahinter steht.

I wonder whether the tradition of red barns was imported from Skandinavia, where many houses were/are painted in "falun red"?
