The Living Forest (592) : Blackcap
The blackcap is a small bird whose preferred habitat is mature deciduous woodland.
My shot shows a female with a striking reddish-brown cap (the cap of the male is black, hence its name).
This bird is extensively hunted in Mediterranean countries...!!!

a litttle beauty ... we have a blackcap chickadee here with bothsexes having a black cap ... then there is a mountain (rare)
chickadee with a brown cap ... have to look yours up in regards
to size etc.

Die Damen sieht man deutlich seltener als die Herren mit dem namensgebenden schwarzen Kopf. Klasse Freistellung und gute Schärfe.Viele Grüße, Jürgen
