The Fungi world (71) : Birch Milkcap

Birch Milkcap can be found in mixed forests, usually near birch.
When this fungus is cut or damaged, a white and watery latex (milk) is exuded that has a bitter and acrid taste.
The fact that the white milk dries yellow in a few minutes, is an indicator that it is poisonous !

Dutch name : Rimpelende melkzwam
German name : Flattermilchling
Latin name : Lactarius theiogalus (syn. Lactarius tabidus)
