The storm was sudden and shortlived. But the changes in light immediately after the storm ceased were spectacular and rapid!..

Of your two pictures, this is the one I prefer. That sky is amazing with the tubulence in the clouds. I do not think that I would have been happy when the storm was raging... no matter how shoort the durtion.
