Aldwich tube station's historic relic - Rear exit to Surrey Str.
Edoardian Aldwych station played a key role during both World Wars, sheltering Londoners from air raids and protecting some most valuable public galleries and museums's artworks of the nation.
It’s now one of the Gost Stations in the City.
"Ghost stations" in the London Underground refer to disused or closed stations that are still present within the Tube network, but are no longer in use for passenger travels.
Edwardian architecture, it opened in 1907, and after being a terminus of the Piccadilly line, it closed to the public in 1994.
