Both shot with my Canon, with a 50mm lens. Tripod mounted, with a remote shutter release. Bright sunshine coming into the window behind me, diffused with a tablecloth.
Top shot is 1/60th sec., f3.5, ISO 800, 20% forward/80% overhead bounced flash.
Bottom is 1/100th sec., f1.8, ISO 500, no flash

what a great original idea!! the hairy vs. the "clean-cut"! a juxtaposition like a statement, which beautifully illustrates the importance of eyes as "mirrors of the soul" telling stories of their owners ; )). when they are hidden behind the curtain of hair, the face turns into an enigma, and, strangely enough, the person morphs into an alluring merman ; ))… greetings, sabine. p.s.: i like the "attitude" expressed in the first shot, too!
