Scruffy and Annabell
Scruffy the dog and his waking mate Anna Bell are from the Mohave Desert. Often Scruffy get to chase the wild little wild life there is under the under the sun in Death Valley. From experience, This is one of the rare times when the desert floor blooms. With camera in her left hand, Anna Bell plans on shooting wild flowers. She knows to keep scruffy on a short leash after he gets out the car to enrich the desert soil. Too many bumble bees out here for scruffy's curiosity, she laughed as she finished her explanation for carrying her dog.

: )))) i'm smiling because of their contrary names: "scruffy and annabell" – sounds a bit like "the beast and the beauty" ; )… but they are obviously getting along great together, judging from the joie de vivre your picture oozes! a lady in full bloom, just like the beautiful desert behind her! and despite their contrary names, they are two of a kind, too: both enjoying to be in the limelight of your camera. so much openness and attitude in her posture and smile. and so much of it in little scruffy's pose, too: just note the nonchalantly crossed hindlegs! needless to say it's my favorite detail! ; ) greetings, sabine. p.s.: her "vegetational" shirt matches the scenery perfectly!Cobrak 20/10/2012 12:30

a fine portrait of two mates, some sort of symbiosis, they depend on one another, but imho its the contrast between the flowers and the mountain in the background that add an extra quality.;-) harald
