Her name is Saathi. Saathi means 'Comrade'. She came to Chittagong lured by some poeple who promised her a job in garments factory. Those people didnt keep their promise and raped her and forced her to do prostitution. They tortured her brutally with hot knife scurring on her chin. Due to unsafe sex, she got her first baby (daughter) in her 18 years of age. I photographed her last year. Later, I want to meet her last month but she just ignored me. I didnt see her daughter. I asked about her and got no reply. Probably, her daughter died; I dont know.
Saathi came to Chittagong for betterment of her life and became 'paid company'.
