Policebox
There are still many old police boxes in Edinburgh, a couple have been turned into stand-up cafés - mentioned even in Ian Rankin's detective Rebus series. A policebox also stars in the BBC's Dr. Who.

Es gibt noch einige alte Polizeistellen in Edinburgh. Ein paar wurden in Stehcafés umgewandelt. Dieser in der Pleasance ist etwas heruntergkommen. In den alten Zeiten, als Polizisten zu Fuß oder Fahrrad auf Streife gingen, hatten diese Stellen ein Telefon, Erste Hilfe, Unterlagen usw.
