Le port de Fujairah a un emplacement stratégique étant relié à tous les émirats dans un rayon de 300 km et situé sur la seule côte est des Émirats arabes unis. L’emplacement de Fujairah en tant que plaque tournante de bunkering s’est produit à la suite de la guerre Iran-Irak dans les années 1980. Fujairah a été établi comme un mouillage pour les pétroliers et un hub de bunkering. La marine des Émirats arabes unis dispose d’une base navale située sur le port et offre une protection aux pétroliers et assure la sécurité de la route d’exportation de pétrole.

The Port of Fujairah has a strategic location being connected to all the emirates within 300 km and located on the only eastern seaboard of the United Arab Emirates. Fujairah location as a bunkering hub occurred as a result of the Iran–Iraq War in the 1980s. Fujairah was established as an anchorage for tankers and a bunkering hub.The United Arab Emirates Navy has a naval base located on the port and offers protection to oil tankers and ensures the safety of the oil export route.
