Patron of the Arts

She seems to be cooing the Stephen Sondheim refrain “Art Isn’t Easy” as proclaimed by the
gallery gaggle in the ensemble number “Putting It Together” from “Sunday in the Park with George.”

Perhaps she’s trying to make some sense out of the Tom Otterness sculptures in Lower Manhattan’s
Nelson Rockefeller Park along the Hudson, although she has given the cat a v-e-r-y wide berth.

All in all, her tastes being less “avant,” she’d probably prefer some nice conservative Audubon sketches,
but if it means some tasty morsels thrown her way by visitors to the park on this summer afternoon,
why, she’ll play the rapt aficionada…as long as the cat stays put.
